Who/what is Lord Hayagriva?
Hayagriva is the avatar of Shri Hari.
Narayana created the Vedas and handed it to Lord Brahma at the time of creation. Two demons Madhu and Kaitabha stole the Vedas. Brahma sought Narayana’s help to get back the Vedas. Then Narayana took the form of Hayagriva, slayed Madhu and Kaitabha and returned the vedas to Brahma.
Hayagriva is the god of knowledge and wisdom.
