Did any Asura defeat Lord Vishnu?

Did any Asura defeat Lord Vishnu?

None.

No asura has the capability to even stand in front of all mighty Narayana without his will. No deva, Ishwara, Rakshasa, Asura, Yaksha, Gandharva or Manushya has the capability to face Lord Vishnu in battle.

Lord Vishnu had defeated all Asuras earlier itself

Valmiki Ramayana Aranya Khanda.

"This sacred bow that is decorated with gold and diamonds is crafted by the divine architect Vishvakarma pertains to Vishnu, and these unwasteful arrows equalling sun in their blaze are the gift of Brahma. "By this bow, oh, Rama, once Vishnu eliminated horrible demons in war and brought back radiant prosperity to the celestials.

Skanda Puran Maheshwara Khanda - a Simple Humkara of Lord Vishnu can kill all demons from the past present and future.

Then the son of Bhava jumped down from his peacock, laughingly embraced Keśava with his arms and spoke: “I know you, O Viṣṇu, as one endowed with great intellect and exploit. You can kill all the Daityas of the past, present and future by means of Huṃkāra (i.e. humming and hissing sound in anger). You alone are the slayer of Daityas, the protector of Devas. You are the person who establishes Dharma (virtue and piety). Here I have joined my palms in reverence to you.

Skanda Purana - he easily kills crores of asuras

They fought with sharp-edged spears, threshing rods, barbed missiles, maces and iron lances and bars. They fought with arrows of very sharp points, discuses and javelins. With arrows comparable to the flames of fire, Janardana who took perfect aim split into a hundred pieces each one of those volleys of missiles discharged by them. The infuriated Janārdana killed crores and crores of them.

Valmiki Ramayana Yuddha khanda - Shri Rama Says he can kill all devilish beings at the tip of his finger

"What does it matter whether that demon is very bad or not bad? He is incapable of doing even a little harm to me." "O, Sugreeva, Lord of monkey-troops! If I wish, I can kill those devilish beings, demons, supernatural beings and ogres living on earth with just a tip of my finger"."It is narrated how by a dove, its enemy ( a fowler) when it came for a refuge, was received according to rules of hospitality and was invited for a feast with its own flesh."

Skanda Purana - Lord Vishnu very easily killed Mahishasura and revived him back.

On coming to know the intention of the Dāṇava, the highly powerful lord filled his mouth with divine weapons. On being injured and struck by those (missile-charged) arrows, Mahiṣa who resembled a mountain, fell down and died. Half of his body rolled down.

On seeing Mahiṣa fallen down, Hari resuscitated his life and said to Mahiṣa: “O Dānava, you do not deserve death from me. You are to be killed by a woman as mentioned by the Lotus-born Lord himself. Get up. You have been released by me. Go quickly from this great battle.” On being told thus by Hari, the Asura went away from that spot.

Valmiki Ramayan 1–1–65- Rama made the corpse of the demon Dundubhi fly for ten Yojananas by just touching it with his toe! (One Yojana is 13 Km so ten Yojanas is 1300 Km!)

Great armed and very powerful Rama after seeing the bones of Dundubhi smiled and by the big toe of his foot threw it wholly for ten yojana-s length.

Drona Parva Section XI- Krishna threw a entire city filled with danavas into the ocean

Putting forth his prowess, Madhava hurled unto the sea the Daitya city called Saubha, (moving) in the skies, protected by Salwa, and regarded as impregnable.

The Angas, the Vangas, the Kalingas, the Magadhas, the Kasis, the Kosalas, the Vatsyas, the Gargyas, the Karushas and the Paundras,—all these he vanquished in battle.

Udyoga Parva Section CXXX - Krishna killed countless asuras and even humbled devas

Seekest thou to seize that Kesava by force? While only a child, he slew Putana and two Asuras assuming the shape of birds, and O bull of Bharata's race, he held up the mountains of Govardhana (on his little finger) for protecting the kine (from a continuous rain). He hath also slain Aristha, and Dhenuka and Chanura of great strength, and Aswaraja, and Kansa, the doer of evil. He hath slain Jarasandha, and Vakra, and Sisupala of mighty energy, and Vana in battle, and numerous other kings also have been slain by him. Of immeasurable might, he vanquished king Varuna and also Pavaka (Agni), and on the occasion of bringing (down from the celestial regions) the (heavenly flower called) Parijata, he defeated the lord of Sachi himself.

Mahabharata Udyoga Parva- 16000 asuras and Narakasura couldnt even touch Shri Krishna.

With all the Danavas succeeded not in seizing him there. Seekest thou to seize him by force? Slaying that Naraka in battle, he brought away (from his city) a thousand damsels and married them all, according to the ordinance. In the city of Nirmochana, six thousand mighty Asuras failed to seize him with their nooses. Seekest thou to seize that Kesava by force?

Valmiki Ramayan Yuddha Khanda - Rama spares Meghanad’s life on the first day.

Using the Shabda-astra, which sought out an invisible opponent, Rāma grievously pierced the demon. He saw His arrows fall to the ground, soaked in the demon’s blood.

Indrajit drove away from the princes, sending arrows at the monkeys and killing thousands. Seeing this, Lakṣman lost all patience. He fitted an arrow to His bow and spoke to Rāma. “I shall now release the brahmāstra, charging it with the power to kill all the Rākṣasas at once. We need tolerate their insolence no longer.” Rāma reached out and checked His brother. “We should not slay innocent creatures unnecessarily,” He told Him. “The Rākṣasas in Lanka have been sufficiently punished by our assault on their city. Let Us now simply annihilate the remaining warriors. I shall myself immediately kill this Indrajit if he remains on the battlefield for even a moment.” Rāma declared that the time for Indrajit’s destruction had come. Even if the Rākṣasa fled for shelter to the farthest reaches of the universe, he would not escape. Rāma raised His bow and looked up to the sky. Divining Rāma’s intentions, Indrajit quickly withdrew from the battlefield. He entered Lanka and considered what tactic he should use to kill Rāma and His brother. Using his prodigious mystic powers, he conjured an illusory image of Sītā

Valmiki Ramayana Yuddha Khanda - Rama spares Ravana’s life

I shall not put you under the clutches of Death. O, King of the Ranger of night! I know you have been tormented in the battle. Go and return to Lanka. Having regained your breath, come back in your chariot with your bow and then standing in your chariot, you will witness once more my prowess."

No one can even dream of defeating Narayana in battle.
