Beautiful letter from father to daughter. Make sure your children read it too.👌- As received

Beautiful letter from father to daughter. Make sure  your children read it too.👌

Dear daughter,_
I am writing this to you because of 3 reasons:-

1. Life, fortune and mishaps are unpredictable, nobody knows how long he lives.

2. I am your father, and if I don't tell you these, no one else will.

3. Whatever is written is my own personal bitter experiences that perhaps could save you a lot of unnecessary heartaches._

Remember the following as you go through life.*_

1. Do not bear grudge towards those who are not good to you. No one has the responsibility of treating you well, except your mother and I._

To those who are good to you, you have to treasure it and be thankful, and ALSO you have to be cautious, because, everyone has a motive for every move. When a person is good to you, it does not mean he really will be good to you. You have to be careful, don't hastily regard him as a real friend._

2. No one is indispen-sable, nothing is in the world that you must possess._

Once you understand this idea, it would be easier for you to go through life when people around you don't want you anymore, or when you lose what you wanted the most._

3. Life is short - When you waste your life today, tomorrow you would find that life is leaving you. The earlier you treasure your life, the better you enjoy life._

4. Love is nothing but a transient feeling, and this feeling would fade with time and with one's mood. If your so called loved one leaves you, be patient, time will wash away your aches and sadness.

Don't over exaggerate the beauty and sweetness of love, and don't over exaggerate the sadness of falling out of love.

5. A lot of successful people did not receive a good education, that does not mean that you can be successful by not studying hard! Whatever knowledge you gain is your weapon in life._

One can go from rags to riches, but one has to start from some rags !

6. I do not expect you to financially support me when I am old, neither  would I financially support your whole life. My responsibility as a supporter ends when you are grown up. After that, you decide whether  you want to travel in a public transport or in your limousine, whether rich or poor.

7. You honour your words, but don't expect others to be so. You can be good to people, but don't expect people to be good to you. If you don't understand this, you would end up with unnecessary troubles._

8. I have bought lotteries for umpteen years , but could never strike any prize. That shows if you want to be rich, you have to work hard! There is no free lunch !_

9. No matter how much time I have with you, let's treasure the time we have together. We do not know if we would meet again in our next life._

Yours lovingly

Boss Management- As received

 Boss Management

Our colleague Mohan avoids all office work but is master at buttering our boss Mr Ganesh Chadda.

He does all work as per  Boss orders. Apart from Boss’s official work, he does all his personal tasks like depositing son’s college fee, buying daughter’s dance costume, car servicing job, complete son’s project work, just about everything.

Obviously, Mohan is favourite of MD Saheb and gets all incentives n  promotions. We are repenting becoz Boss is not as happy with us.

One day, we got sudden news about MD saheb’s mother’s demise. We all ran to his house with a very sad face as if our mother has expired!
Surprisingly Mohan was not to be seen anywhere in Boss’s Bungalow leading to everyone speculating about
Mohan being absent🤔.

We arranged for vehicle furnished with garlands and Boss’s mother was taken to crematorium.

But there were 16 bodies in the queue  for electric burning. With each body taking 3 hrs to burn, cremation would not be possible before sunset. 😭. Boss’s was red faced and upset. 😡😡

Suddenly, the 2nd body sat up 🫣🫣
 Everyone ran helter skelter.*

To our utter surprise we discovered it was none other than Mohan
🧐😲😲😲

 He appraised the MD Saheb,

Sir,*
Our number is 2nd, I was waiting from the morning, lying as a dead body.*
😇😇😇

We were stunned to see his level of commitment, here also he scored

I think this text is very beautiful, very true ....!- As received

I think this text is very beautiful, very true ....!

Hardly the day started and ... it is already 1 p.m.
Barely arrived on Monday and it's already Tuesday
... and the month is already over.
... and the year is almost up.
... and already 40, 50, or 60 years of our lives have passed.
... and we realize that we lost our parents, friends.
and we realize that it is too late to go back ...
So ... Let's try, however, to take full advantage of the time we have left ...
Let's not stop looking for activities that we like ...
Let's put color in our greyness ...
Let's smile at the little things in life that put balm in our hearts.
And yet, we must continue to enjoy serenely the time that remains. Let's try to eliminate the "after" ...
I do it after ...
I will say after ...
I will think about it after ...
We leave everything for later as if "after" was ours.
Because what we do not understand is that:
after, the coffee cools ...
after, priorities change ...
after, the charm is broken ...
after, health passes ...
after, the children grow up ...
after, the parents get older ...
after, the promises are forgotten ...
after, the day becomes the night ...
after, life ends ...
And after that, it's often too late...
So ... leave nothing for later ...
Because always waiting for later, we can lose the best moments,
the best experiences,
the best friends,
the best family,
The day is today ...
The moment is now ...

We are no longer at the age where we can afford to postpone until tomorrow what needs to be done right away.

NEW GUIDELINES FOR LEADERS.

NEW GUIDELINES FOR LEADERS.

Take two minutes to read these guidelines and be sure to read all the way to the bottom.
Written by Andy Rooney, a man who had the gift of saying so much with so few words. Rooney, who used to be on CBS's 60 Minutes TV show, has passed away, but his words spoken then are more important now than ever!

Enjoy!

I've learned ..
That being kind is more important than being right.

I've learned ...
That when you harbor bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.

I've learned ..
That having a child fall asleep in your arms is one of the most peaceful feelings in the world.

I've learned ..
That the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly person.

I've learned ..
That when you're in love, it shows.

I've learned ..
That money doesn't buy class.

I've learned ...
That just one person saying to me, 'You've made my day!' makes my day.

  I've learned....
That you should never say no to a gift from a child.

I've learned ..
That I can always pray for someone when I don't have the strength to help him in any other way.

      I've learned....
That no matter how serious your life requires you to be, everyone needs a friend to act goofy with.

      I've learned ...
That sometimes all a person needs is a hand to hold and a heart to understand.

      I've learned ...
That simple walks with my father around the block on summer nights when I was a child did wonders for me as an adult.

I've learned ..
That life is like a roll of toilet paper.   The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes.

I've learned ..
That it's those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular.
I've learned ..
That under everyone's hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated and loved.

I've learned ..
That to ignore the facts does not change the facts.

      I've learned ...
That when you plan to get even with someone,   you are only letting that person continue to hurt you.

I've learned ..
That love, not time, heals all wounds.

I've learned ..
That the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround myself with people smarter than I am.

I've learned ..
That everyone you meet deserves to be greeted with a smile.

      I've learned ...
That no one is perfect until you fall in love with them.

I've learned ..
That life is tough, but I'm tougher.

      I've learned ...
That opportunities are never lost; someone will take the ones you miss.

I've learned ..
That I wish I could have told my Mom that I love her one more time before she passed away

      I've learned ...
That one should keep his words both soft and tender, because tomorrow he may have to eat them.

I've learned...
That a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.

      I've learned ...
That when your newly born grandchild holds your little finger in his little fist, you're hooked for life.

I've learned ..
That everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it.

I've learned ..
That the less time I have to work with, the more things I get done.

*challenges* - Posted By Gautam De

*challenges* - Posted By Gautam De

Once upon a time long back, I was grappling with a very difficult situation in my life and I did not know what to do. I was at the Canadian retreat on a walk with Guruji and wanted to share w him and seek his advice. As I was about speak, a lady came right between us, with a sense of urgency. I gave her space, but her words floated towards me. She showed a picture of a young man to Guruji. With an extremely helpless look, she said to him that her son was in Jail. He got into a fight with some one and…she paused and could not speak any more. Guruji helped her complete her statement and asked that he killed him? She made a feeble node to him. There was moment of silence between them. And then w her head bowed and hands folder, she asked for something. Of all the things she could have asked for, she said him “guruji, can you please get sudarshan kriya to him in jail?”. I few moments later she moved away and I found myself walking right next to him, w almost no one around. But I had no words to speak. I was still astounded by what had just happened. I didnt say or share anything to him. From that precise moment, there has been a fundamental shift in how I handle challenges. There is this deep sense of assurance that I already have the best gift and wisdom to handle pretty much anything. And I know, I was meant to be in that very spot in that very moment.

I dont know her, never saw her face or met her. But once in a while, the memory of this mother floats by. The one who in the most challenging time of her life, asked for the highest freedom, from the one who can bestow it. And I bow down to her supreme wisdom!!

Usha Uthup- As received

Usha Iyer Uthup did not have a pretty face..she did not have a swelt figure either..her skin tone was bordering on the dark, just as mine..

She compounded it by wearing an outsized bindi on her forehead and about 5 kilo of jasmine in the back of her head.

Yet she took the job of a crooner of western music in alcoholic restaurants, a job reserved for anglo indian girls till then, the first desi woman probably to do so.

Jit Paul, the owner of Trincas, Calcutta was also in steel business. I asked him, "Haven't you taken a chance by employing her to sing in front of boozing men in preference to white skinned, semi clad anglo indian women?"
He shot back, "Have you  been to  Trincas lately? Have you seen how she electrifies the crowd?"

She indeed did. While Jagjit Singh and Chitra were  nuancing  gazals in a restaurant across the street, it was Trincas which occupied the pride of place in park Street.

Jit Paul admitted to me later that after Usha started singing, Trincas business had expanded many times.

Later on Usha added an outlandish specs to adorn her face. I have never seen her wear anything other than a saree, a rich one at that and I have never seen her without that huge bindi..

She knew her her voice and  musical repertoire will have the final say, not her looks. They did..they still do.

Born a Tambrahm, brought up in Bombay, she made Calcutta her karma Bhoomi. She completely identified herself with Calcutta and was loyal to it as she was to Trincas. In return Calcutta owned her up  and gave her the  key to the city..She was there at all major functions of Calcutta including IPL.

This Usha-Calcutta bond is heart warming at a time when you only see clannishness and divisive rhetoric all around. ...😫

*The Truth Of Life*

*Sunday Story*

*The Truth Of Life*

"Are You Taking All The Credit For Your Success?"

Your success is the result of not only your efforts, it is a combination of several other factors and support systems.

While the battle of Kurukshetra was at its peak, *Arjuna and Karna* were fighting each other. It was a battle to witness, a flurry of arrows were being exchanged, and even the gods were witnessing this epic battle between the two warriors.

*Arjuna* would shoot his arrows and the impact of these arrows was so intense that *Karna’s* chariot would go back by 25-30 feet. People who witnessed this were amazed by the skills of *Arjuna.*

*Karna* was no less. When he shot arrows, *Arjuna’s* chariot would also shake and go back by three-four feet.

More than anyone else, *Krishna* would applaud *Karna* every time his arrow hit *Arjuna’s* chariot. But not once did he applaud *Arjuna’s* skills.

At the end of the day, *Arjuna* asked *Krishna*: “O Lord, I have shot so many arrows at *Karna’s* chariot, it was being displaced like a feather in the wind, but not once did you appreciate me. Rather, you would appreciate *Karna’s* skill despite his arrows just displacing my chariot a little.”

*Krishna* smiled and replied: *“Arjuna,* remember, your chariot is protected by *Hanuman* on your flag at the top; you have *me* as your charioteer in the front and you have *Sheshnag* at its wheels, yet the whole chariot would still sway and get displaced whenever the valiant *Karna* hit us with his arrows. But *Karna’s* chariot is not protected by any such force. He is on his own, yet he fights valiantly.”

It is said that after the battle of *Kurukshetra* was over, *Krishna* refused to get off the chariot till *Arjuna* got down. Once *Krishna* alighted from the chariot, it caught fire and was reduced to dust.

*Krishna* said: *“O Arjuna,* your chariot was destroyed by *Karna* a long time ago; I was still protecting it. Never in your life have the arrogance to say that you have achieved great heights. If you have achieved something, it is due to the *divine will*. It is *divine intervention* that has always protected you, cleared your path and given you right opportunities at the right time!”

*Reflection*

Every time you feel you have done great in markets/life or anything, just read this, it will bring back to your senses.

Technology invades Privacy- As received

When TV came to my house. I forgot how to read books. When the car came to my doorstep, I forgot how to walk. When I got the mobile in my hand, I forgot how to write letters. When computer came to my house, I forgot spellings When the AC came to my house, I stopped going under the tree  for cool breeze. When I stayed in the city, I forgot the smell of mud. By dealing with banks and cards, I forgot the value of money. With the smell of perfume, I forgot the fragrance of fresh  flowers. With the coming of fast food, I forgot to cook traditional cuisines. Always running around, I forgot how to stop. And lastly when I got whatsapp, I forgot how to talk.

When we die, our money remains in the bank.

Yet, when we are alive, we don't have enough money to spend.

In reality, when we are gone, there is still a lot of money not spent.

One business tycoon in China passed away. His widow, was left with $1.9 billion in the bank, and married his chauffeur.
His chauffeur said:-
*"All the while, I thought I was working for my boss... it is only now, that I realise that my boss was all the time, working for me !!!*"

The cruel reality is:
It is more important to live longer than to have more wealth. So, we must strive to have a strong and healthy body, It really doesn't matter who is working for who.

In a high end hand phone, 70% of the functions are useless!
For an expensive car, 70% of the speed and gadgets are not needed.
If you own a luxurious villa or mansion, 70% of the space is usually not used or occupied.
How about your wardrobes of clothes?
70% of them are not worn!

A whole life of work and earning...
70% is for other people to spend.

So, we must protect and make full use of our 30%.
Go for medical check-ups even if not sick.
Drink more water, even if not thirsty.
Learn to let go, even if faced with grave   problems.
Endeavour to give in, even if you are in the right.
Remain humble, even if you are very rich and powerful.
learn to be contented, even if you are not rich.
Exercise your mind and body, even if you are very busy.
Make time for people you care about
