Secrets of Lord Shiva- H. H. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

*Question.*Gurudev, its Shravan's 1st Monday.
Day of all devotees to worship Shiva.
Then why do they worship a Stone (shivlinga) Why not murti or photo of Shiva himself?

🍃 *Gurudev SRI SRI Ravi Shankar*🍂

Thats the speciality of our ancestors. They were Master in Spiritual Science. *Shiva was never born. Shiva is not a body. Shiva is energy, Shiva Tatva which commands whole creation.* His body is just imagination made out of knowledge of his energy. And its secret. You wanna know ??? (Crowd: Yessss)

7 secrets about Shiva :

1⃣ 🐍 *Why Snake?*
Snakes are a symbol of awareness.
You can't be asleep with a snake around your neck!

2⃣🌪 *Why Ashes?*
To remind you of the impermanence of life; knowing that we live life fully.

3⃣🌛 *Why Moon?* Is the Moon an Ornament?

The moon and the mind are connected. To be happy in all phases of life, you have to have a say over the mind.

4⃣⌛ *Why Damru?*
It has the same shape as the symbol of infinity. Shiva is the unbound infinite consciousness!

5⃣🀄 *Why Trishul* - A Weapon?
Shiva rules over the three gunas represented in the trishul. Yet he encourages everyone to do their dharma - to act and stand up for truth.

6⃣🔵 *Why Blue Bodied*
The sky is limitless and so is Shiva.
The sky is blue and Shiva is blue too.

7⃣🌊 *Why Ganga?*
Ganga represents gyan (knowledge). Wisdom dawns naturally when you are established in the Shiva.

Sattva- As per H. H. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Question Basket
*Q: How does sattva help us?*
Sri Sri: The more sattva (purity) rises in your life, the more easily your tasks get accomplished. The amount of sattva in us decides the productivity of our input. If you put in a lot of effort and the result turns out to be less or below your expectations, it means that there is a lack of sattva in life. When we meditate, then our work happens easily. People are unaware of this secret. They think why they should spend twenty to thirty minutes meditating everyday, when that time can be spent in earning money. It is very important to meditate whenever you get the time so that you accomplish your tasks more efficiently and with ease.

Incredible

Please can a history teacher explain this ...

Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress  1846.

John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.

Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860.

John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.

Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.

Both their wives lost a child while living in the White House.

Both Presidents were shot on a Friday.

Both Presidents were shot in the head.

Now it gets really weird.

Lincoln's secretary was named Kennedy.

Kennedy's Secretary was named Lincoln.

Both were assassinated by Southerners.

Both were succeeded by Southerners

The successors of both Presidents are named Johnson.

Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808.

Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.

John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839.

Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.

Both assassins were known by their three names.

Both names are composed of fifteen letters.

Now hang on to your seat.

Lincoln was shot at the theater named "Ford."

Kennedy was shot in a car called "Lincoln" made by "Ford."

Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials.

And here's the "kicker":

A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe, Maryland.

A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe.

AND...................:

Lincoln was shot in a theater and the assassin ran to a warehouse...

Kennedy was shot from a warehouse and the assassin ran to a theatre...

Worth sharing...
Its incredible.😳

Knowledge Sheet of H. H. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Q:Gurudev, can you please tell us about the three stages in spiritual practice?

HH Sri Sri Ravi Shankar:

Yes, there are three stages in practice:

The first level, Anva Upaya, which includes pranayama, meditation, mantra chanting, exercises, and yoga.

The second level, Shakta Upaya. This is much more subtle; it is the stillness that you experience at the end of doing all these exercises; it is more internal.

There is very little that you do, in fact everything is happening. There is no doer there, nobody doing anything, yet, it is happening; you feel that Shakta Upaya, it is very subtle.

The third level, Shambava Upaya is a step beyond the Shakta Upaya; just recognition, just awareness. It suddenly dawns; you have no clue, you have no say in it, you can’t do anything about it.

You are walking, watching a sun set, suddenly, something happens, something opens up. You meet someone; suddenly, you feel some sense of elevation, joy.

Whether you are meditating, sleeping, or doing any work, suddenly an awareness, a wakefulness dawns in you. That is Shambhava Upaya; that happens with grace, blessings or love or something.

The first stage, Anva Upaya, is inevitable. The second stage, Shakta Upaya, is an obvious movement. The third stage, Shambhava Upaya, is a gift.

Dialogue with Uday Kumar

[19/07, 11:48] Ravi Valluri: Best story in Mahabharata 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

Karna asks Krishna - "My mother left me the moment I was born.
Is it my fault I was born an illegitimate child?

I did not get education from Dhronacharya because I was considered a non Kshatriya.

Parshuram taught me but then gave me the curse to forget everything since I was a kshatriya.

A cow was accidentally hit by my arrow & its owner cursed me for no fault of mine.

I was disgraced in Draupadi's swayamvar.

Even Kunti finally told me the truth only to save her other sons.

Whatever I received was through Dhuryodhana's charity. So how am I wrong in taking his side?"

Krishna replies,
"Karna, I was born in a jail.

Death was waiting for me even before my birth.

The night I was born I was separated from my birth parents.

From childhood you grew up hearing the noise of swords, chariots, horses, bow and arrows.

I got only cow herd's shed, dung and multiple attempts on my life even before I could walk!

No army, no education.

I could hear people saying I am the reason for all their problems.

When all of you were being appreciated for your valour by your teachers, I had not even received any education.

I joined gurukula of Rishi Sandipani only at the age of 16!

You are married to a girl of your choice.

I didn't get the girl I loved & rather ended up marrying those who wanted me or the ones I rescued from demons.

I had to move my whole community from the banks of Yamuna to far off Sea shore, to save them from Jarasandh. I was called a coward for running away.

If Dhuryodhana wins the war you will get lot of credit.
What do I get if Dharmaraja wins the war? Only the blame for the war and all related problems.

Remember one thing Karna....

 Everybody has challenges in life.

*LIFE IS NOT FAIR ON ANYBODY..*

Dhuryodhan also has a lot of unfairness in life and so has Yudhishthir.

But what is Right (Dharma) is known to your Mind (Conscience)....

No matter how much unfairness we got, how many times we were disgraced, how many times we were denied what was due to us, what is important is how you REACTED at that time...

Stop whining Karna.

Life's unfairness does not give you license to walk the wrong path of *अधर्म.*

🙏🙏🙏
[19/07, 12:18] Uday Kumar: Sir it was a great learning., last paragraph was much important " not give you license" because many youth in present time often take path of adharm due to life,'s unfairness. Many times I have come through such student who said me I will vanish this society because this society had not given me anything
[19/07, 12:20] Ravi Valluri: How much have we given to the society?
[19/07, 12:22] Uday Kumar: True sir, but they say we are preparing, for it so we can give to society,
[19/07, 12:24] Uday Kumar: When teachers like you reach to one's life, life start change
[19/07, 12:25] Uday Kumar: Unfortunately many people's don't get guru
[19/07, 12:26] Uday Kumar: Due to shortage of teacher's or faith of person
[19/07, 12:26] Uday Kumar: Jgd
[19/07, 12:35] Ravi Valluri: Guru reaches to those who pine for one.Never think that you have found a Guru. It is the Guru who finds you. Teacher can only give you knowledge , Google gives you information.Only a Guru and great works of literature, science and art provide you with wisdom. That gives you the power of discrimation
But you have to pine for that.Cry for that .Chase for it.And suddenly Guru appears from infinity .
[19/07, 12:54] Uday Kumar: Only disgrace persons had to pine
[19/07, 12:54] Ravi Valluri: Read what I said very carefully .You will get the answer.
[19/07, 12:55] Ravi Valluri: No one can permanently happy or unhappy.  Nature does not allow it.It will get bored.
[19/07, 12:56] Uday Kumar: True sir, I agree with it.
[19/07, 12:57] Ravi Valluri: Those who are non believers, agnostics , atheists will find God or Guru through experimentation or by reading or science , technology  , arts etc .
[19/07, 12:58] Ravi Valluri: Believers will pine for Guru / God
[19/07, 12:58] Ravi Valluri: In either case you have to pine and surrender.  You have to do Tapas
[19/07, 12:59] Ravi Valluri: Good books will discover you or God/ Guru will discover you.
[19/07, 13:00] Ravi Valluri: Dronacharya and Krishna discovered Around. And not vice versa
[19/07, 13:01] Ravi Valluri: Karna Ashwathama Ekalavya cheated in some way .Thus they never got complete knowledge
[19/07, 13:03] Ravi Valluri: It is like a good Test Cricketer will always play well in 50 over match or T-20. But some one who plays only T-20 can never be a Test Cricketer. And that is Tapas .That is pining

Knowledge Sheet - H. H. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Q: Gurudev, I understand spiritual practices are to meet God, but that is not my motive. I want to excel in life and in my career. How can spirituality help me do that?
Why does spirituality suggest one generic solution to all of life’s problems.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar:
See, when you are hungry, the only way to satisfy hunger is to eat. If you say, “I am thirsty”, there is just one solution to quench the thirst, you need to drink liquids. But what type of liquid you should drink? I say you have many choices. From water to juice to milk, anything can quench your thirst. But liquid is what can quench the thirst. Similarly to enrich your life, you need spirituality.

What does spirituality really mean?

All that the spirit represents, i.e., love, peace, happiness, compassion, commitment and understanding. These are all the qualities of the spirit.

You need to nurture your mind, you need to nurture your emotions, you need to sharpen your intellect, and you need to do whatever is needed to make your behavior better. So anything that nurtures the spirit is spirituality. Proper rest, some knowledge, and expanding your vision, all this is part of spirituality. And all of this is needed for a civilized happy life.

See, anything you do in life, it is all directed towards being happy. Why do you even do some service to somebody? It is because it gives some happiness to you. When you serve someone it gives you joy. So anything we do in our life is directed towards happiness, and greater happiness, and greater happiness. That’s how the mind goes. And the greatest happiness is reposing in the being. It is when you feel that everyone is a part of you and you are a part of everyone.

So to be successful in life you need values, you need integrity, you need a vision, you need energy, and you need dynamism. And spirituality is the one thing that gives it all of you.

If you are healthy, you can see better, you can eat better, you can speak better , you can hear better and you can run better. All this depends on just one thing. Similarly that which enriches your spirit is so essential to enrich all other aspects of life.

Temple- As shared

A German once visited a temple under
construction where he saw a sculptor making an idol of God...

Suddenly he noticed a similar idol lying nearby...
Surprised, he asked the sculptor, "Do you
need two statues of the same idol?"
"No," said the sculptor
without looking up, "We need only one, but the first one got damaged at the last stage..."

The gentleman
examined the idol and found no apparent damage...

"Where is the damage?" he asked.
"There is a scratch on the nose of the idol." said the sculptor, still
busy with his work....

"Where are you going to install the idol?"

The sculptor replied that it would be
installed on a
pillar twenty feet high...

"If the idol is that far who is going to know that there is a scratch on the nose?"
the gentleman asked.

The sculptor stopped work, looked up at the gentleman, smiled and said,

"I will know it..."

The desire to excel is exclusive of the fact whether someone else appreciates it or not....

"Excellence" is a
drive from inside, not outside....

Excellence is not for
someone else to notice but for your own satisfaction and efficiency.

Mahabharata - As shared

When Krishna returned home after the battle of Mahabharata, his wife Rukmani confronted him “How could you be party to the killing of Guru Drona and Bheeshma, who were such righteous people and had a lifetime of righteousness behind them.”
Initially Lord Krishna avoided her questions but when she did not relent, he replied “No doubt they had a lifetime of rightousness behind them but they both had committed one single sin that destroyed all their lifetime of righteousness”
Rukmani asked “And what was that sin?”
Lord Krishna replied “They were both present in the court when a lady (Draupadi) was being disrobed and being elders they had the authority to stop it but they did not. This single crime is enough to destroy all righteousness of this world”
Rukmani asked “But what about Karna?
He was known for his charity. No one went empty handed from his doorstep. Why did you have him killed?”
Lord Krishna said “No doubt Karna was known for his charity. He never said ‘No’ to anyone who asked him for anything. But when Abhimanyu fell after successfully fighting an army of the greatest warriors and he lay dying, he asked for water from Karna who stood nearby. There was a puddle of clean water where Karna stood but not wanting to annoy his friend Duryodhan, Karna did not give water to a dying man. In doing so his charity of a lifetime was destroyed. Later in battle, it was the same puddle of water in which the wheel of his chariot got stuck and he was killed.”
Understand that your one act of injustice can destroy your whole life of honesty.
This story is great example of Karma Theory in Path To Prosperity. So Lets create any Karma with Awareness what is righteous.

A letter to be read - As shared

Beautiful letter written by a father to his son 👌
Must send to your children

Following is a letter to his son from a renowned Hong Kong TV broadcaster and Child Psychologist.
The words are actually applicable to all of us, young or old, children or parents.!
This applies to daughters too. All parents can use this in their teachings to their children.

Dear son ,

I am writing this to you because of 3 reasons

1. Life, fortune and mishaps are unpredictable, nobody knows how long he lives. Some words are better said early.

2. I am your father, and if I don't tell you these, no one else will.

 3. What is written is my own personal bitter experiences that perhaps could save you a lot of unnecessary heartaches. Remember the following as you go through life

 1. Do not bear grudge towards those who are not good to you. No one has the responsibility of treating you well, except your mother and I.
To those who are good to you, you have to treasure it and be thankful, and ALSO you have to be cautious, because, everyone has a motive for every move. When a person is good to you, it does not mean he really likes you. You have to be careful, don't hastily regard him as a real friend.

2. No one is indispensable, nothing is in the world that you must possess.
Once you understand this idea, it would be easier for you to go through life when people around you don't want you anymore, or when you lose what/who you love the most.

 3. Life is short.
When you waste your life today, tomorrow you would find that life is leaving you. The earlier you treasure your life, the better you enjoy life.

4. Love is but a transient feeling, and this feeling would fade with time and with one's mood. If your so called loved one leaves you, be patient, time will wash away your aches and sadness.
Don't over exaggerate the beauty and sweetness of love, and don't over exaggerate the sadness of falling out of love.

5.A lot of successful people did not receive a good education, that does not mean that you can be successful by not studying hard! Whatever knowledge you gain is your weapon in life.
One can go from rags to riches, but one has to start from some rags!

 6. My responsibility as a supporter ends when you are grown up. After that, you decide whether  you want to travel in a public transport or in your limousine, whether rich or poor.

7. You honour your words, but don't expect others to be so. You can be good to people, but don't expect people to be good to you. If you don't understand this, you would end up with unnecessary troubles.

 8. I have bought lotteries for umpteen years, but I could never strike any prize. That shows if you want to be rich, you have to work hard! There is no free lunch!

9. No matter how much time I have with you, let's treasure the time we have together. We do not know if we would meet again in our next life.

Your Dad

Read it twice
Ask your son and daughter to read it thrice.
Worth a read
