Did Buddha ever get angry?

Did Buddha ever get angry? Maybe. Anger doesn’t die out just because someone becomes enlightened (which takes countless lifetimes, they say). What changes is how the person REACTS to it and handles it. A truly-skilled Buddhist notices their anger as it arises, and is amused rather than upset by it. And chooses how to react in response. For instance, if your child runs out in front of a car and you manage in time to pull them back from being hit .. you might CHOOSE to let your anger act out in order to impress on your child how important it is for THEIR SAKE to NOT run out blindly into a busy street. But the state of enlightenment involves the abilty to accept and relax with whatever is rising up from within, to NOT be controlled by it (whether it is an attachment or an aversive emotion), and because there is no more ego-attachment, the enlightened person CHOOSES to act on whatever is for the good of others.
