Who is Sanjay Kumar Mishra ?

Who is Sanjay Kumar Mishra ?

- for whom Modi didnt accept Supreme Court Order
- for whom Govt changed the act
- For whom Govt changed all the rules
- for whom entire opposition and world's most powerful NGOs reached to Supreme court to remove him
- Who single handedly destroyed left ecosystem in India

Sanjay Kumar Mishra is Director of ED

SK Mishra belongs to UP n selected in IRS in 1984. He was the youngest IRS officer that time.

He spent his most of career in Income Tax dept. He was famous for his sharp brain, honesty and hard work.

he knew that biggest hindrance in growth of India is nexus on anti india forces, foreign funded ngo, corrupt indian politicians n their fuel is black money.

They use NGOs, corporates, shell companies for money laundering and that money is used for anti national activities

When Modi became PM in 2014, he started to work on building new India to stop growth of corrupt India

If u remember first 2-3 years of Modi and Rajnath Singh, went heavy crackdown on NGOs, Shell companies but later  realized that nexus is very big and he has to build an equally competent team to tackle these financial crimes n there comes Sanjay Kumar Mishra

Modi was very impressed with him n told him his vision n asked him to head ED in 2018.

He was first appointed as Principal Secretary of ED out of term and the Full-time director of ED on Nov 19, 2018

At that time ED was very little known dept. Those people who don't know abt ED

ED investigates cases related to money laundering.

and those who don't know what is money laundering - its a simple term for exchanging money locally on overseas instruction. Like I ask a friend in India to give u Rs 100 and in return I pay $1 to friend relative in US

Laundry means to clean dirty cloths
Money laundering - to clean black money to legit money

I was searching n old video of Modi where he said -
'jitne bhi log bharti karne pade, mai karunga par 70 saalo mai jitna bhi desh ko lutta hai mai sabka pata laga lunga"

SK Mishra started to build ED. before him there was hardly 23 senior officers, now there r more than 100 senior officers. ED has offices all over India.

ED has unlimited power. They can act anywhere, can arrest anyone n by using these powers SK Mishra started a crackdown on corrupts

Modi is unpredictable

No one assumed that Govt will do such a crackdown on corruption coz corruption had become the general norm in India.

ED started to arrest people, Chidambaram, Karti Chidambaram, Chandra Kocher n lot

SK Mishra's retirement was due on March 2020. But his 2 years tenure was till Nov 2020 since in India CBI directors n ED directors are appointed for 2 years or till age of 60 whichever occurs earlier.

SK Mishra finished his 60 years in March 2020 but Central kept him continuing. Opposition kept waiting for his retirement n in Nov 2020 when his retirement was due. Govt went to President and modified Presidents Nov 2018 order of his appointment for 2 years to 3 years in retrograde and extended his tenure till Nov 2021

Now opposition lost patience and went to Supreme Court via an NGO common cause that is part of their ecosystem Govt fought for SK Mishra in the SC firmly and Opposition didn't get relief from Supreme Court also

SC said Govt has the power

to extend ED Director's tenure from 2-3 years but only in rare to rarest cases and his tenure wont be extended after Nov 2021

Opposition thought to wait till Nov 2021 for the retirement of SK Mishra n as Nov 2021 came they faced one more blow

Govt brought an ordinance to amend CVC act and extended Sanjay Kumar Mishra's tenure from Nov 2021 to Nov 2023 (3 to 5 years)

Sanjay Kumar Mishra became the first officer in Indian history for a beneficiary of this ordinance. Later Govt passed that amendment by Parliament

Now opposition parties, NGOs lost all patience and flooded Supreme Court with petitions to remove him.

Case is still going on, Last hearing was on 3rd Sep. Govt said in reply to SC that all these petitioners r from political party who r accused of corruption
