Happy World Environmental day!

Of the 8300 million metric tons of plastic that has ever been produced, a mere 9% has been recycled. Moreover, polypropylene plastic straws are categorised as a type 5 plastic, which is even less commonly recycled and constitute a significant part of beach litter. The year 2023 marks the 50th edition of World Environment Day, which is being celebrated globally under the theme “Solutions to Plastic Pollution”. You can contribute towards the fight against plastic pollution by being part of our project called “The last straw” in following ways- 1. Adopt one coconut vender near your home to help him/her become plastic free by the donating paper straws to him/her (which you can take from us FREE of COST). Also educate this coconut vendor that using plastic straw is bad for Environmental health and is against waste management rules of Govt of India under which all Single Use Plastics are banned so he/she can be penalised heavily by local authority. 2. Ask the coconut vendor to stop keeping and giving plastic panni ( flimsy bag) if he wants free straws from you. Straws are killing thousands of sea animals by getting stuck in their nose, it’s not a joke. 3. Stop using plastic straws. 4. Donate to Sifar Zaya - as small as a donation of INR 1000 can reduce around 3000 plastic straws which if used will stay on planet for 250 years (means how many generations? )Is it worth to use it for few minutes? So if you would like to be part of this project as volunteer or donor, pl. Direct message me for more details. Happy World Environmental day!
