In the few interactions with the party grassroots, Mrs. Priyanka Vadra has come across as someone who is hugely arrogant and imperious. It is learnt that she berated the grassroots workers in Amethi after the 2019 election.
The party is already weak, hollowed out, and drew a bla how got to 52 seats was because
- The CPIM mishandled the Sabarimala verdict in Kerala which handed Congress 15 seats on the platter.
- The DMK lifted the Congress in Tamizh Nadu. This should be crystal clear. It was the DMK and And Captain Amarinder Singh ran a good campaign in Punjab which provided the party 8 seats. And now that Captain Amrinder Singh is no longer the Chief Minister and out of the party , Congress's fortunes will nosedive further.
Without these 3 states, the Congress would have subsided from 44 to even a lower tally. So the Parivar is over.
