What are some common misconceptions about Arab culture and its relation to Islam and Hinduism? The philosophy of Islam is different from the philosophy of Bhakti yoga teachings of Hinduism. If we have fallen into a well and get trapped then how do we get out of the well and come to the land. There are many ways to lift ourselves. Suppose if someone would come hanging from the rope and catch us rigidly, if the people at the top would lift the rope, then we also move to the top and we can get out of the well. Suppose if someone would throw a rope from above and ask us to hold it rigidly, and if this rope is pulled, then we also get out of the well. The first is a shortest presentation on the methodology of Hinduism. The second is a short summary of the methodology of Islam. That’s all the difference between the two approaches. Since because Islam advocates the non- dependency on the form of God, it teaches against idol worship. Whereas Hinduism is literally like a university of religions. There are as many methods that are possible in Hinduism. There are methods of depending upon form, methods without depending upon a form, methods by replacing the form with a Jyothi, a divine flame of the Eternal. Then there are methods to depend upon God as an Eternal substance. Contrary to all this methods, Hinduism also teaches a method to jump out of well. How is it possible to jump from a rock bottom of the well to the surface. This is the most challenging of all philosophies of the world. It is the most difficult of all the methods. However Shankara says it is possible for all to jump out and He has unleashed the philosophy of “ I am Brahman “. In this philosophy there is no need to depend upon any rope to climb. It is possible to jump out of the well by developing a right mindset that would give the force of discrimination to project the strength of the soul/ Atman. This is Advaita in short. Sri Ramakrishna says, so many methods, so many religions. That’s all is the difference between Islam, Buddhism, Christianity, Jainism and the university of religions which is Hinduism. 426 views
