Bombay Review & Other Stories
Bombay Review & Other Stories written by Ravi Valluri. This book falls under the anthology genre.
The title is both simple and appropriate for its content. However, the cover image may seem suitable for the stories, but it is not visually appealing; in fact, it's not a good choice for the cover image.
I often like to read short stories because they are brief, refreshing, and quick to read, requiring no follow-up. This is the main reason why I chose to read this book. This author’s work is not new to me; I have already read a couple of books by him. So I am familiar with his writing style. In this book, the author has provided short stories that encompass different genres and emotions. In these short stories, I can find themes of love, intense romance, thriller, mystery, sexuality, and more. Additionally, there is a story that incorporates psychological elements, and it is written very well.
All the emotions conveyed in these stories are very contemporary and may suit the current time frame we are living in, but the stories are also from different backgrounds and time frames. I appreciate the switch between genres in the short stories. This shuffle of genres makes the reading experience smooth and unique. I felt like, this book covers most human emotions within its pages. The narration and the way the words are crafted make the reading experience breezy and enjoyable. If you are someone who likes to read the short story genre, you will love this book. It features awesome stories with excellent story flow
