Destruction of Indian Culture and Heritage by the British

This is Lord Macaulay's speech to the British Parliament . Lord Macaulay imparted the 3R's  and that became our model of education system  . Nothing wrong in learning something new . But our pristine culture , heritage and self-esteem got adrift  in the process . The Gurukul system of imparting education was forgotten  in the wilderness . Alongside , English , Sanskrit , Hindi and other regional languages should have been taught to the denizens of this great land . But the motive was to destroy our culture to perpetuate their hegemony .
