What are the truths invoked by Sri Krishna to withdraw the power of Aswaddhama’s Brahmastra on the dead child of Uttara and bring him back to life? The truths told by Vasudeva to revive the dead child of Uttara are: 1. He never lied in his life even for the purpose of amusement 2. He never turned back from any battle 3. Dharma and Brahmins are dear to him 4. He never had a misunderstanding with Arjuna 5. Truth and righteousness are always established in him 6. Kansa and demon horse Kesi has been righteously slain by him and the dead child of Uttara should revive by that truth. Narrative 'O Uttara, I never utter an untruth. My words will prove true. I shall revive this child in the presence of all creatures. Never before have I uttered an untruth even in jest. Never have I turned back from battle. (By the merit of those acts) let this child revive! As righteousness is dear to me, as Brahmanas are specially dear to me, (by the merit of that disposition of mine) let Abhimanyu's son, who is born dead, revive! Never hath a misunderstanding arisen between me and my friend Vijaya. Let this dead child revive by that truth! As truth and righteousness are always established in me, let this dead child of Abhimanyu revive (by the merit of these)! As Kansa and Kesi have been righteously slain by me, let this child revive today by that truth!' Aswamedha Parva: Anugita Parva: Section LXIX After these words were uttered by Vasudeva, the child of Uttara became animate and began gradually to move. The blazing Brahma weapon(Brahmashira Astra) then returned to Lord Brahma. All the ladies present there filled with joy and praised Janardana.
