*When Children Begin to Walk Their Own Path*
*When Children Begin to Walk Their Own Path*
------------------------------------------
There comes a moment in every parent’s life, when the house feels a little quieter…
The children, who once clung to your hand now take their own steps. They make choices you wouldn’t make, walk roads you’ve never walked, and sometimes—yes—it feels like they are turning away.
It’s natural to feel that ache. The dinners are shorter, the phone calls less frequent, the hugs fewer. You wonder,
*“Did I do enough? Did I love them the right way?”*
But here’s the truth:
*Children aren’t walking away from you— they’re walking toward their own lives.*
And the greatest gift you can give them is not a hand that holds on too tightly, but a heart that trusts and cheers them forward.
Every value you planted—kindness, honesty, resilience—becomes their compass, even when they wander.
Every moment of love you poured into them—
it doesn’t vanish; it becomes the quiet strength that carries them, when you’re not around.
So instead of sadness, choose gratitude. Gratitude that you had the chance to shape a soul, to guide a spirit, to love someone so deeply that their leaving leaves a mark.
And when they return—whether in laughter at the dinner table, a phone call late at night, or simply in your thoughts—
you’ll see that distance never breaks love. It only stretches it, teaching us to trust more, love deeper, and let go with grace.
Because in the end, the bond between parent and child isn’t measured by how close they stand…but by how strongly the love remains—no matter how far they roam.
*Jhumka That Fell… and Rose Again.
*Jhumka That Fell… and Rose Again.* In 1966, *Mera Saaya* hit the silver screen — a film remembered not only for its mystery and drama, but for one song that would echo across decades: *“Jhumka Gira Re Bareilly Ke Bazaar Mein…”* In the film, the heroine laments losing her earring in the bustling market of Bareilly. A playful piece of cinema magic, nothing more. Or so it seemed. Fast forward 54 years, and Bareilly decided to “return” that missing earring — by building it. Bareilly, a city in Uttar Pradesh, had gained nationwide fame back in 1966 purely because of that one song. In 2020, the Bareilly Development Authority unveiled a grand memorial: a 14-foot-tall, 200-kilogram jhumka, crafted from brass and copper by a Gurgaon artisan, costing ₹18 lakh. Installed at Zero Point on NH-24, the spot is now proudly called *"Jhumka Tiraha”,* and it has quickly become a tourist landmark. The song itself was the work of a dream team — lyricist Raja Mehdi Ali
Why was Karna a one day warrior in Mahabharat?
Why was Karna a one day warrior in Mahabharat?
Karna fought in the Kurukshetra war for seven days and performed well in most of those days he participated in the destructive war.
Karna countered a group attack the five Kekaya brothers who fought for the Pandava side on his first day in the Kurukshetra war (11th day) and there is no mention of any defeat he suffered on that day.
On the 12th day, Karna countered a group attack of Bhima, Satyaki and Dhristadyumna. He also resisted Arjuna for some time before eventually succumbing to Satyaki in a fierce battle which marked the end of battle for that day from both the sides.
Karna suffered a number of defeats on both the 13th day (at Abhimanyu's hands in archery fights) and the 14th day but performed relatively better on the 14th day.
Karna suffered five consecutive defeats at Bhima's hands on the 14th day but eventually had the last laugh by capturing the Pandava brother alive and sparing his life in the sixth encounter on that day.
Karna defeated Bhima fairly and squarely on the 15th day since he had the experience of fighting with the Pandava brother on the previous day.
Karna defeated Nakula and a group attack of all the Pandava warriors (except Arjuna) on the 16th day so he also performed well on that day.
Karna was invincible in all the encounters on the 17th day (except one battle with Bhima and final encounter with Arjuna) therefore it can be ascertained that he was never a one day warrior since he performed well in most of the days he fought for the Kourava side.
If Ravana was a great devotee of Lord Shiva,?
If Ravana was a great devotee of Lord Shiva, why couldn't he move Shiva Dhanush even a little in Sita’s Swayamvar?
As per valmiki ramayana, there was never such a grand swayamvar held for goddess sita’s marriage like it’s usually shown in tv serials. There was just a condition put by King janaka that whoever able to string the bow of lord shiva would be deemed to be worthy to marry their daughter. Here, ravana actually didn't heard about this challenge as he was living happily in his golden palace which was many many miles away from mithila (Even if he took part in event, he would have failed to shake the bow as everything can't be achieved through strength).
Over the time, many kings came across various parts of country and accepted the challenge and tried to string the bow but none of them able to even lift the bow which goddess sita used to play when she was a little girl. One day, lord ram and lakshman entered the mithila with sage vishwamitra and it’s vishwamitra who forced lord ram to take participation in the contest and rest in history

FINDING "A REASON TO BELIEVE"
The willingness to grow
is the essence of all spiritual development.
As Bill Sees It, p.171
A line from a song goes, ". . . and I look
to find a reason to believe . . ."
It reminds me that at one time I was not able to find a reason
to believe that my life was all right.
Even though my life had been saved by coming to A.A.,
three months later I went out and drank again.
Someone told me: "You don't have to believe.
Aren't you willing to believe that
there is a reason for your life,
even though you may not know yourself
what that reason is,
or that you may not sometimes know
the right way to behave?"
When I saw how willing I was to believe
there was a reason for my life,
then I could start to work on the Steps.
Now when I begin with, "I am willing . . . ,"
I am using the key that leads to action, honesty,
and openness to a Higher Power moving through my life.

Comradeship in Peril
We A.A.'s are like the passengers of a great liner the moment after rescue from shipwreck, when camaraderie, joyousness, and democracy pervade the vessel from steerage to captain's table.
Unlike the feelings of the ship's passengers, however, our joy in escape from disaster does not subside as we go our individual ways. The feeling of sharing in a common peril - relapse into alcoholism - continues to be an important element in the powerful cement which binds us of A.A. together.
Our first woman alcoholic had been a patient of Dr. Harry Tiebout's, and he had handed her a pre-publication manuscript copy of the Big Book. The first reading made her rebellious, but the second convinced her. Presently she came to a meeting held in our living room, and from there she returned to the sanitarium carrying this classic message to a fellow patient:
"We aren't alone anymore."

Faith is the bird that feels the light
when the dawn is still dark.
—Sir Rabindranath Tagore
In the darkness of early morning,
the bird outside the window begins to sing.
Soon the eastern sky turns pink.
The bird continues singing until the first yellow rays
warm its soft wings. Then it flies away,
not returning to the window until the next morning.
We can learn from the small bird how to have faith.
We don't need to wait for something we want
before having faith, we'll get it.
We can begin to show our faith
by celebrating the things, we usually take for granted.
After all, when we take something for granted,
isn't that a selfish form of faith?
We can start by singing a song to celebrate the new day.
A day that will warm our hearts
and shed light on our actions.
Like the bird's faith in the sunrise,
we need only to have faith
that God meant each day to enrich our lives.
What faith can I celebrate right now?
*******
Just a thought..........
They say that God works through others;
that if you would be close to God,
you should get close to his workers.
Never seen God?
Some believe he's at every meeting, with skin on.
So…………
Do I treat others like God's children?
Do I treat myself like a child of God?
What can I do today
to make someone feel like a child of God?

If you wish to make an apple pie
truly from scratch,
you must first invent the universe.
—Carl Sagan
Everything is given to us.
Our lives came forth with no plan on our part.
We have no lease on life and no control,
ultimately, over any possession.
In the addictive and codependent families
most of us came from, we learned something else.
We learned a lonely arrogance that said,
"I should be self-sufficient.
I have earned everything that ever came to me."
Deep down we probably knew how untrue that was,
and we felt great self-doubt.
The cure we learn in this program
for our lonely arrogance is a miracle and a blessing.
We accept that we are part of a larger whole.
Now it dawns on us –
all of our friends and relatives
We are all pilgrims. We are all guests.
We are all stewards of creation.
We can be close, and we must help one another
because everyone is equally vulnerable.
I am grateful to my Higher Power
today for the life,
which has been given me.
I pray for greater understanding
of my responsibilities.
AN OUNCE OF PREVENTION
Good Morning!!!
AN OUNCE OF PREVENTION
Around the Year with Emmet Fox
September 2
The old adage,
"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,"
is just as true in the spiritual life
as it is in the material world.
A great many people wait
to make their contact with God
until a serious difficulty is upon them
and then they hasten to find a spiritual solution.
Of course, it is better to seek God
under such circumstances
than never to find Him at all.
But why wait for trouble?
Many a difficulty could be prevented or lightened
if we were to make our contact with God now.
The Bible says now is the day of salvation.
Now is the accepted time.
If you will put your life in God's hands now
through daily prayer and meditation
and complete willingness to do His will,
you will find that your problems
will grow less as time goes on,
and you will have acquired that serenity
and poise that only God can give.
Then, come what may, nothing shall disturb you.
“And now, Lord, what wait I for?
My hope is in thee”
Psalm 39:7

Q: Gurudev, how can we truly feel blessed in life, even when things don't go our way?
Q: Gurudev, how can we truly feel blessed in life, even when things don't go our way?
Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji - Break through all the barriers and feel that you Are Blessed.
This Is The One And Only Step You Have To take – the rest will all happen.
This deep sense of feeling that “I am blessed” can help you overcome any obstacles in life. It gives you courage and confidence and it will open your lid for grace to be poured in.
Once you realize that you are blessed, then:
All the complaints disappear
All the grumbling disappears
All the insecurities disappear
A sense of feeling unloved disappears
Wanting love disappears.
If you don’t realize you are blessed, then the doership begins.
If you want to make a difference in your life, feel you are blessed.
And especially for those on this path of knowledge, there is no reason for you to not feel blessed. So, feel you are blessed. This is the first step towards the Self.
Blessing comes to you in many forms.
If you are generous, blessing comes to you as abundance.
If you are hardworking, blessing comes to you as happiness.
If you are lazy, blessing comes to you as hard work! (Laughter)
If you are pleasure loving, blessing comes to you as dispassion.
If you are dispassionate, blessing comes to you as knowledge of the Self.
