Was it possible for Arjuna to defeat Jarasandha in archery?

Was it possible for Arjuna to defeat Jarasandha in archery? Arjuna would be able to cut his bows, but won't be able to defeat him in battle of weapons. Jarasandha is invulnerable to weapons and can only be defeated in a physical duel. But after the immediate cause of fear was removed (by the death of Kansa), Jarasandha, his father-in-law, took up arms.
