Alzheimer's Dementia

 Today is world Alzheimer's disease day. Every year on 21st September it is celebrated to make awareness about Alzheimer's Dementia . It is most common type of Dementia

It is a progressive brain disease beginning with mild memory loss, thinking, problem solving and learning skills decreased gradually. 
The number of people living with Alzheimer's disease doubles every 5 years beyond age 65.
Symptoms of the disease can appear after age 60, and risk increases with age. 
Family history play a role. 
Criteria for diagnosing Dementia.... 
1.  Memory impairment
2. At least one of the following is present... 
     a.Impaired ability to understand or produce speech
     b. Inability to perform purposive actions
     c. Inability to interpret sensation & hence o recognize things. 
     d. Disturbance in executive functioning. 
3. Social and occupational deterioration

4. Maintain healthy weight by exercise and healthy optimum diet.

8. If you drink alcohol, don't exceed more than 60 ml
