Fifty Four years ago it was this day when your great Armed Forces brought Pakistan and its Armed Forces to their knees(As was done in Operation Sindoor this May), forced one of the worst laying down of arms by a professional army in the history of warfare. Over 93000 Paki soldiers, led by Lt Gen AAK Niazi, surrendered to Lt Gen JS Aurora, the then GOC-in-C Eastern Command. A history was created, Bangla Desh liberated in just 13 days!!! Sheer grit, determination, valour and professionalism of your Armed Forces. But it is also a time to remember those 3000 plus soldiers who made supreme sacrifice laying down their lives for our great nation.
