Question - Gurudev, what is the source of mind and how did it arise?
Gurudev Sri Sri - After the cosmic dissolution, objective universe was in a state of perfect equilibrium. There then existed the eternal, unborn, self-effulgent Lord. From him emerged countless divinities like lord Vishnu, even as countless rays emerge from sun. He is the light in which the self and tow world shine. This supreme self cannot be realised by means other than wisdom- not indeed by austerity, penance or by exerting oneself in religious practices. This self is neither far nor near. It is what in oneself appears to be the experience of bliss, and is therefore realised in oneself. There is only one remedy for ignorance of the lord, firm and decisive renunciation for sense-pleasure.
