Vata, Pitta, Kapha* - these three doshas affect certain part of the body more than the other parts.
Like *Vata* dosha is predominant in the lower part of the body - stomach, intestines, gas.
*Kapha*, the middle part of the body. Cough - perhaps the word has come out of Kapha.
*Pitta*, the upper part of the body, our head, short temper, is all pitta.
*Three stage Pranayama* has effect on these three doshas. After doing Pranayama you feel the doshas in the body are altered, something has changed, you feel more balanced .
