*GuruDev satsang talk Dec 29,2021*

*GuruDev satsang talk Dec 29,2021*

As a sadhak what to do first thing in morning
Ans: nothing. Decondition. Not add more conditioning.

Q: How to console myself for time with you?
Ans: Time with Me is never enough. It’s a good complaint and grievance to have :) I don’t need to evolve anyway. I just read your problems even tjouh they aren’t worth reading. For your satisfaction I glance through, knowing you are going to be Ok.

Q: what do you want from me?
Ans: Good question to keep. Do a lot of work for the foundation, bring knowledge to every doorstep. Keep asking me I’ll give you many things to do

Q: how to let go of deep sense of sadness
Ans: sadness maybe but not deep. You are sad bcos you haven’t gone deep. Drop it. Your cravings, aversions , hooking into pleasure have brought you sadness. That’s it. Invoke valor, don’t care for pleasure. Kick your craving for sex, food, appreciation and praise from others, your sadness will go with the wind. You will be bubbling with joy, more centered independent and self reliant. For all the above you rely on others. And when you have to rely on others you will become sad. You are joy. We make a habit of being in a gloomy state of mind and that takes over. It may seem a little hard listening to me now. Again and again you have to hammer it to yourself. That’s why knowledge and wisdom are so important. Else you’ll get sucked into maya so easily. Wise pray only one thing - let me be saved from this maya. Let me not succumb to the maya.

Q: what’s the purpose of marriage. Is dharma of woman just to be wife and mother?
Ans: you have answered your question! Ask yourself if you’ve given 100% to the relationship. When relationship breaks down there’s two sides to it. Is there any part you can mend. You don’t have to suffer all your life. Leave an abusivo relationship if you have to. But b4 taking that step give 100%. Being single or married are both difficult. The other shore is always greener. No guarantee a new relationship will go on well. Changing boat when you can’t row you won’t reach the shore. Easy to accuse someone. They can’t come out of it even though they know. Help them grow and come out of their shortcoming. Lie is short. Both of you will kick the bucket. No need to kick each other to no avail or emotionally blackmail each other. Think with clarity in mind and right intention.

Q: How to cultivate gratitude?
Ans: virtue of gratitude comes by memory.
1. Where you are to where you were.
2. Think of all that you have received in life. Compare with others who aren’t that inteligent. Fools are in abundance.
3. Be awake and see all that you have received in your life and the moment you feel you are fortunate you will feel grateful.
4.
5. Don’t try to increase your gratitude

Q: what rondΓ³ about laziness
Ans: read yoga sutras. Sometimes you get lot of restlessness. You can neither rest nor be active. Chaotic and state of confusion in mind. You can’t even pinpoint what is your problem or what to do about it. These are some obstacles in the path. They come for a little while and go away. Maharishi Patanjali says you sit and chant Om a few times it takes away all these and even ill health goes away. Feeling ONS vibration is circulating in all the organs, you will feel relief.

Q: ok to chant ONS internally?
Ans: loud chanting or listening ok. Not internally (Om also not internal only loud)

Q: i see dead people πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„.Is it maya?
Ans: focus on yourself. I will take care of you and others. Art of Living is a zoo. Ppl of all mindsets and tendencies are here. Don’t be scared about snakes or lions or too charmed by parrots or peacocks. Every type is here. That’s why it’s whole. The ultimate knowledge encompasses everything.
Q: Friend suicide. What can I do?
Ans: There is a bigger force taking care. You mind your own business and move on. Your meditation center fess and happiness will reach beyond this realm.

Q: How come everyone asks you to bless for desires? Can’t we just let nature do it’s job?
Ans: that’s a wiser decision :). Two ways masters adopt - Nip the desire at the bud. I took different stance - fulfil the desire and move on. Either grant or nipping at bud are both same. But don’t hang on there. There’s something more.

Q: Is rising in love a happening?
Ans: Rising in love is all in wisdom and that’s what we are doing. Without wisdom you can’t rise in love.

*The Mysteries of Anatomy*

_Brilliantly written verse ...For lovers of the English language_

*The Mysteries of Anatomy*

Where can a man buy a cap for his knee,
Or the key to a lock of his hair?
Can his eyes be called an academy?
Because there are pupils there?

In the crown of your head can jewels be found?
Who crosses the bridge of your nose?
If you wanted to shingle the roof of your mouth,
Would you use the nails on your toes?

Can you sit in the shade of the palm of your hand,
Or beat on the drum of your ear?
Can the calf in your leg eat the corn off your toe?
Then why not grow corn on the ear?

Can the crook in your elbow be sent to jail?
If so, just what did he do?
How can you sharpen your shoulder blades?
I'll be darned if I know. Do you?

3 Stage Pranayama - Ayurveda by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Vata, Pitta, Kapha* - these three doshas affect certain part of the body more than the other parts.

Like *Vata* dosha is predominant in the lower part of the body - stomach, intestines, gas.

*Kapha*, the middle part of the body. Cough - perhaps the word has come out of Kapha.

*Pitta*, the upper part of the body, our head, short temper, is all pitta.

*Three stage Pranayama* has effect on these three doshas. After doing Pranayama you feel the doshas in the body are altered, something has changed, you feel more balanced .

t is the time of year when…….

 \

It is the time of year when…….

Given by the Father

“Unto us a Son is given” Isaiah 9:6 (NKJV)

Unto YOU a Saviour is born . . .

A Time of Loving

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son.”  John 3:16a

And so! we might ponder about;

This Christmas we too will be faced with people that need our love.  At times it will be easy to give our love.  Sometimes it will take a lot of effort and maybe there will be times when it seems almost impossible to love.  When we face those moments, we need to remember that God is waiting to pour his love into our hearts to share with others.  As the love of God who gave his only Son, fills our hearts we will be able to love the unlovely in our world as Jesus did

The homeless people who walk the streets of our town . . .right past our church doors.  Their hair is straggly, their body odour is pungent, their clothing. Whatever they are in our midst especially in these dire hard times caused by the ravaging epidemic which has been with us for neigh on two years.

In closing I would like to quote the words from a song about Christmas & Santa that I hear yesterday. The punch line was;

Can we spread the Christmas Cheer ( in it’s deep spiritual sense ) everyday of the year

For Santa is just a another man who comes once a year.

Five More Minutes:

Five More Minutes:
A woman sat down next to a man on a bench near a playground at West Coast park one fine Sunday Morning.
"That's my son over there," she said, pointing to a little boy in a red
T-shirt who was gliding down the slide.
"He's a fine looking boy," the man said. "That's my son on the swing in the blue T-shirt." Then, looking at his watch, he called to his son.
"What do you say we go, Jack?" Jack pleaded, "Just five more minutes, Dad. Please?" "Just five more minutes."
The man nodded and Jack continued to swing to his heart's content.
Minutes passed and the father stood and called again to his son. "Time to go now?" Again Jack pleaded, "Five more minutes, Dad. Just five more minutes."
The man smiled and said, "O.K."
"My, you certainly are a patient father," the woman responded.
The man smiled and then said, "My older son John was killed by a drunk driver last year while he was riding his bike near here. I never spent much time with John and now I'd give anything for just five more minutes with him. I've vowed not to make the same mistake with Jack.
He thinks he has five more minutes to swing.
The truth is, I get Five more minutes to watch him play."
*Life is not a race. Life is all about making priorities.*

1. I only come, I never go. It's a one way ticket
2. I anyway lead all the meditations
3. No need to panic about the new covid wave. It's on its way out. Just meditate, and do satsang, and do your practices. That is your protection
4. Message for the new year: Keep serving others. Make others happy. Be a candle, spread the light to others
5. Each one of you is very precious. Because of your energy, so many others will benefit.
6. A lit candle can bring light to so many.
7. The current pandemic is on its way out. Just follow the local protocols, keep distance. After this , in 2022-2023 we will all get together to celebrate .
 8. I can come to your house any day any time .
9. God (and then He said, I )  can be very near and very far.

2 Stories- As received

l want to share two old stories with you, and see how you would choose in these situations.

Story One
A certain company had a tradition of holding a party and a lottery every Christmas Eve.

The rules of the lottery draw were as follows: each employee pays ten dollars as a fund. There were three hundred people in the company. In other words, a total of three thousand dollars can be raised.  The winner takes all the money home.

On the day of the lottery draw, the office was filled with a lively atmosphere. Everyone wrote their names on the slips of paper and put them in the lottery box.

However, a young man hesitated when he wrote.  Because he thought that the company's Cleaning  lady's frail and sickly son was going to have an operation soon after the dawn of New Year but she did not have the required money to pay for the operation, which made her quite troubled.

So, even though he knew that the chance of winning was slim, with only a 0.33 percent chance, the man wrote the name of the Cleaner lady on the note.

The tense moment came. The boss doubled in the lottery box, and finally drew out a note. The man also kept praying in his heart: hoping against  hope that the Cleaning lady can win the prize...Then the boss carefully announced the winner’s  Name, a miracle happened!

The winner turned out to be the Cleaning lady. Cheers broke out in the office, and the Cleaning lady hurriedly rushed to the stage to accept the award. She almost burst into tears and said, " I am so fortunate and blessed!  With this money, my son now has hope!"

At the beginning of the party, while thinking about this "Christmas miracle", the man paced to the lottery box.
He took out a piece of paper and opened it casually.
The name on it was also the name of the Cleaning lady!
The man was very surprised.
He took out several pieces of paper one after another.
Although the handwriting on them was different, the names were all the same, all of them were the names of the Cleaning lady  The man's eyes were filled with tears and he clearly understood that there was a Christmas miracle in the world, but  the miracle will not fall from the sky,  the people were required to create it by themselves!

"Story Two"
One afternoon, I went for a walk with a friend in the suburbs. Suddenly, an old man in tattered clothes approached us with a bag of green vegetables in his hand.
The sales of those vegetables on that day  were very poor, the leaves seemed dehydrated  and yellowish and there were holes in them as if  bitten by insects.
But my friend bought three bags without saying a word.
The old man also embarrassedly explained: "I grew these vegetables myself. It rained a while ago, and the vegetables were soaked. They look ugly. I'm sorry."

After the old man left, I asked my friend: "Will you really cook these  when you go home?"

He didn't want to say No to me. " These vegetables can no longer be eaten."

"Then why did you take the trouble of buying them?" I asked.

He replied, "Because it is impossible for anyone to buy those vegetables.
If I don't buy it, the old man will probably have no income for today."

I admired my friend's thoughtfulness and concern, so I caught up with the old man and bought some vegetables from him.
The old man said very happily, "I tried to sell them the whole day , but no one was ready to buy them.
I am so happy that you both  were willing to buy from me...
Thank you so much."

Several handfuls of green vegetables that I can't eat at all taught me a valuable lesson.

 .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  . .
When we are in a low ebb, we all hope that miracles will happen to us; but when we are capable, are we willing to be the one who creates miracles?!!!

After reading these two stories you have two choices:

1) You can spread it, spread the  positive message, and make the world  love more.

2) You can also ignore it fully as if you never saw it.

However, your little sharing action may illuminate the destiny of countless unfortunate people.
People become successful not only  because their dreams get fulfilled, but also even more successful because of their compassionate deeds.
You become transformed when you are willing to learn to be compassionate to others.

Jallianwala Bagh - As received

While every Indian knows about Jallianwala Bagh massacre, few of us think about the reactions of the British public to the event. The massacre itself was blacked out by the government in India and martial law was in place. When news got out, the British tabloids referred to Jallianwala Bagh massacre as the “Amritsar affair” — in an obvious use of minimising language.

How could the “affair “ change the attitudes of British public if they were denied truth? The answer lies , as often, in the efforts one man. A man whose origins are as far away from Punjab as one can imagine.

Sir Chettur Sankaran Nair was born in an aristocratic family in 1857 in Palakkad district of Kerala. His strong sense of fairness and justice, drove him to pursue law. Nair was an iconoclast and defied the dictates of Vakil association, which said no Indian would work under a British barrister. His reason : his clients had the freedom to choose their lawyer. To him justice mattered more than the color of the lawyer’s skin.  He was a vociferous advocate of social reforms.

As Madras High court judge, he ruled that those who converted to Hinduism cannot be treated as outcastes. He also supported inter-religious marriages and was clearly ahead of his time. He became the youngest leader of Indian National congress. When the Montagu Chelmsford reforms were introduced in 1908, he called out the act as being partial. Even though Sir Edwin Montagu called him an “impossible man” , the British respected his moral rectitude  and knighted him in 1912. In 1915 Nair became a member of the powerful Viceroy council and was given the education portfolio.

Then Jallianwala Bagh happened.

Nair resigned from the Viceroy council in protest - something unheard of , at that time. . He wrote “Gandhi and Anarchy” in which he openly accused Punjab Governor Michael O’Dwyer (the man who would be later shot by Shaheed Udham Singh).  In response, O’Dwyer filed a defamation suit against Nair.

Nair faced a suit against a British man in a British court , presided over by a British judge and a British jury. All cards were stacked against him - yet he fought valiantly. The trial was the longest civil case London had seen until that time and lasted five and a half weeks. It laid threadbare the British atrocities in India and got extensive press coverage , something neither Nair nor O’Dwyer  could  have imagined. The British public, for the first time, understood that the call for Indian Swarajya wasn’t rebellious or seditious.

Sadly Nair lost the case 11 to 1 and had to pay a fine of 500 pounds. O’Dwyer said he would forgo that amount if Nair apologises. To which Sir Chettur Sankaran Nair said, “ I would rather pay 500 pounds than say something I don’t believe in. Besides what’s the guarantee that the next 12 shopkeepers in a British court wouldn’t side with their own? “

His fearless nature ensured that people all over the world heard about Jallianwala Bagh massacre. From New York to Paris, from Berlin to Moscow , Nair shook the image of the mighty British Empire, if only for five weeks.

Some battles aren’t fought to be won, but to show the world that a man stood his ground  on the battlefield. The greatest tragedy such a warrior can face is being forgotten, erased from the history books of the very nation he fought for.  The least we can do to correct such historic wrongs, is to tell our children about courage and conviction of our heroes.

*Rujuta Diwekar* is the highest paid *dietician* in India. She is the one who took care of *junior Ambani* to lose 108 kgs.

*Rujuta Diwekar* is the highest paid *dietician* in India. She is the one who took care of *junior Ambani* to lose 108 kgs.
*Her advice to diabetics*:

1. *Eat fruits grown locally* ..... Banana, Grapes, Chikoo, Mangoes. All fruits have FRUCTOSE so it doesn't matter that you are eating a mango over an Apple. A Mango comes from Konkan and Apple from Kashmir. So Mango is more local to you.

*Eat all the above fruits in DIABETES as the FRUCTOSE* will eventually manage your SUGAR

  2. Choose Seed oils than Veggie oils. Like choose ground nut, mustard, coconut & til. *Don't choose chakachak packing oils*, like olive,  rice bran etc
*Go for kachchi ghani oils than refined oils*

  3. Rujuta spends max time in her talks talking about GHEE and its benefits.
*Eat GHEE daily*. How much GHEE we should eat depends on food. Few foods need more GHEE then eat more and vice versa. Eat ample *GHEE. It REDUCES cholesterol*.

  4. *Include COCONUT.* Either scraped coconut over food like poha, khandvi or chutney with idli and dosa
Coconut has *ZERO CHOLESTEROL* and it makes your WAIST SLIM

  5. *Don't eat oats, cereals for breakfast*. They are packaged food and we don't need them.  Also they are tasteless and boring and our day shouldn't start with boring stuff.
Breakfast should be poha, upma, idli, dosa, paratha

  6. Farhaan Akhtar's New ad of biscuits - fibre in every bite... Even ghar ka kachara has fibre, likewise oats have fibre. Don't chose them for fibre. *Instead of oats, eat poha, upma, idli, dosa*

  7. *No JUICES till you have teeth* in your mouth to chew veggies and fruits

  8. *SUGARCANE is the real DETOX* . Drink the juice fresh or eat the SUGARCANE

  9. For pcos, thyroid - do strength training and weight training and avoid all packaged food

10. *RICE - eat regular WHITE RICE. NO NEED of Brown rice.* Brown rice needs 5-6 whistles to cook and when it tires your pressure cooker, then why do you want to tire your tummy.

A white rice is hand pounded simple rice

*Rice* is not high is GI INDEX.  Rice has mediun GI index and by eating it with daal / dahi / kadhi we bring its GI index further down
If we take _ghee over this daal chawal then the GI INDEX is brought further down._
*B.* Rice has some rich minerals and you can eat it even three times a day

11. How much should we eat - *eat more if you are more hungry,* let your stomach be your guide and vice versa

12. We can *eat rice and chapati together* or only rice if you wish. It depends on your hunger. *Eat RICE in ALL THREE MEALS without any fear.*

13. Food shouldn't make you scared like eating rice and ghee. *Food should make you FEEL GOOD*

14. *NEVER* look at *CALORIES*. Look at *NUTRIENTS*

15. *No bread, biscuits, cakes, pizza, pasta*

16. Ask yourself is this the food my Nani & Dadi ate?  If yes then eat without fear.

17. Eat as per your season. *Eat pakoda, fafda, jalebi in monsoon*. Your hunger is as per season. Few seasons we need fried food so eat them.

18. When not to have chai - tea - don't drink tea as the first thing in morning or when you are hungry. Rest you can have it 2-3 times a day and with sugar

19. *NO GREEN tea please.* No green, yellow, purple, blue tea.

20. Eat *ALL* of your *TRADITIONAL* foods.

21. Strictly *NO* to packaged foods / drinks.

22. *Exercise / Walk*
 to digest & stay healthy.

John D Rockfeller*

John D Rockfeller* was once the richest man in the world. The first billionaire in the world.

By age 25 he controlled one of the largest oil refineries in the US.

By age 31 he had become the world’s largest oil refiner.

By age 38 he commanded 90% of the oil refined in the U.S.
By 50, he was the richest man in the country.

By the time he died, he had become the richest man in the world.

As a young man, every decision, attitude, and relationship was tailored to create his personal power and wealth.

But at the age of 53 he became ill.

His entire body became racked with pain and he lost all of his hair. In complete agony, the world’s only billionaire could buy anything he wanted, but he could only digest soup and crackers.

An associate wrote, "He could not sleep, would not smile and nothing in life meant anything to him."

His personal, highly skilled physicians predicted he would die within a year.

That year passed agonizingly slowly.

*As he approached death he awoke one morning with the vague realisation of not being able to take any of his wealth with him into the next world.*

The man who could control the business world suddenly realized he was not in control of his own life.

He was left with a choice.
He called his attorneys, accountants, and managers and announced that he wanted to channel his assets to hospitals, research, and charity work.

John D. Rockefeller established his Foundation.

This new direction eventually led to the discovery of penicillin, cures for malaria, tuberculosis and diphtheria.

But perhaps the most amazing part of Rockefeller’s story is that *the moment he began to give back a portion of all that he had earned, his body’s chemistry was altered so significantly that he got better.*

*It looked as if he would die at 53 but he lived to be 98.*

Rockefeller learned *gratitude and gave back the vast majority of his wealth.*

Doing so made him whole.
It is one thing to be healed.
It is another to be made whole.

Before his death, he wrote this in his dairy:

"The Supreme Energy taught me, that everything belongs to him, and I am only a channel to comply with his wishes. My life has been one long, happy holiday; Full of work and full of play I dropped the worry on the way and God was good to me every day!"

UNODC MESSAGE ON ANTICORRUPTION DAY 2021.

UNODC MESSAGE ON ANTICORRUPTION DAY 2021.

“Your right, your role: Say no to Corruption”

Corruption affects all areas of society. Preventing corruption unlocks progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals, helps protect our planet, creates jobs, achieves gender equality, and secures wider access to essential services such as healthcare and education.
While it is everyone’s right to benefit from strong anti-corruption efforts, misconduct and wrongdoing is stealing away valuable resources at a time when they are most needed to respond to and recover from the COVID-19 crisis.
The 2021 International Anti-Corruption Day seeks to highlight the rights and responsibilities of everyone - including States, Government officials, civil servants, law enforcement officers, media representatives, the private sector, civil society, academia, the public and youth - in tackling corruption.

And yet it is not only countries that need to unite and face this global problem with shared responsibility. Every single person - young and old - has a role to play to prevent and counter corruption, in order to promote resilience and integrity at all levels of society.
To achieve this, policies, systems and measures need to be in place for people to be able to speak up and say no to corruption. The United Nations Convention against Corruption emphasizes the responsibility of Governments to put in place effective whistle-blower protection to ensure that persons who speak up are protected from retaliation. These measures contribute to effective, accountable and transparent institutions towards a culture of integrity and fairness.
To protect your rights, you need to be aware of the role you play and responsibilities you have in the fight against corruption. Speak up, “say #NoToCorruption”.

I was managing a McDonald’s in Florida.

I was managing a McDonald’s in Florida.

Unlike today, staffing was never a real problem. I was searching for a someone to work three hours a day at lunch.

I went thru all my applications and most were all looking for full time or at least 20 hours.

I found one however, buried at the bottom that was only looking for lunch.

His name was Nicky.

Hadn't met him but thought I would give him a call and see if he could stop by for an interview. When I called, he wasn't in but his mom said she would make sure he would be there.

At the accorded time, Nicky walked in. Nicky suffered from Downs Syndrome. His physical appearance was a giveaway.

I was young. Had never interacted on a professional level with a developmentally disabled person.

I had no clue what to do, so I went ahead and interviewed him. He was a wonderful young man. Excited to be alive.

For only reasons God knew at that time, I hired him. 3 hours a day, 3 days a week to run a grill.

I let the staff know. Predictably the crew made sure I got the message, " no one wants to work with a retard." To this day I find that word offensive.

We had a crew meeting and prepared for his arrival.

Nicky showed up for work right on time.
He was so excited.

He clocked in and started his training. Couldn't multi task, but was a machine on the grill.

Now for the fascinating part.....
Back in that day, there were no computer screens to work from. Every order was called by the cashier.

It required concentration to get the order right. While Nicky was training, the sandwich maker next to him asked the grillman what was on the next sandwich. Nicky replied,"single, no pickle no onion."

A few minutes later it happened again.
It was then that we discovered Nicky had a hidden and valuable skill. He memorized everything he heard!

WHAT A SKILL SET.

It took 3 days and every sandwich maker requested to work with Nicky.

After his shift he would join the crew. It was then that they discovered another trait. Nicky was a walking perpetual calendar!

With a perpetual calendar as a reference, they would sit for hours asking him what day of the week was December 22, 1847. He never missed.

His mom would come in at 2 to pick him. As I went to get him from the back, his mom said something I will never forget.
"Let him stay there as long as he wants.
He has never been accepted like he is here”.

Nicky had a profound impact. His presence changed a lot of people.

Today I believe with every fiber of my body that Nicky's hiring was no accident.

This Christmas, I hope we all understand what we are celebrating. We are all like Nicky.
We each have our shortcomings.

Inexplicable

An eight-year-old child heard her parents talking about her little brother. All she knew was that he was very sick and they had no money left. They were moving to a smaller house because they could not afford to stay in the present house after paying the doctor's bills. Only a very costly surgery could save him now and there was no one to loan them the money.
When she heard her daddy say to her tearful mother with whispered desperation, 'Only a miracle can save him now', the little girl went to her bedroom and pulled her piggy bank from its hiding place in the closet. She poured all the change out on the floor and counted it carefully.
Clutching the precious piggy bank tightly, she slipped out the back door and made her way six blocks to the local drugstore. She took a Rand from her bank and placed it on the glass counter.
"And what do you want?" asked the pharmacist.
"It's for my little brother," the girl answered back. "He's really very sick and I want to buy a miracle."
"I beg your pardon?" said the pharmacist.
"His name is Andrew and he has something bad growing inside his head and my daddy says only a miracle can save him. So how much does a miracle cost?"
"We don't sell miracles here, child. I'm sorry," the pharmacist said, smiling sadly at the little girl.
"Listen, I have the money to pay for it. If it isn't enough, I can try and get some more. Just tell me how much it costs."
In the shop was a well-dressed customer. He stooped down and asked the little girl, "What kind of a miracle does you brother need?"
"I don't know," she replied with her eyes welling up. "He's really sick and mommy says he needs an operation. But my daddy can't pay for it, so I have brought my savings".
"How much do you have?" asked the man.
"Fifteen Rand and eleven cents; but I can try and get some more", she answered barely audibly.
"Well, what a coincidence," smiled the man, "Fifteen Rand and eleven cents - the exact price of a miracle for little brothers."
He took her money in one hand and held her hand with the other. He said, "Take me to where you live. I want to see your brother and meet your parents. Let's see if I have the kind of miracle you need."
That well-dressed man was Dr Carlton Armstrong, a neurosurgeon. The operation was completed without charge and it wasn't long before Andrew was home again and doing well.
"That surgery," her mom whispered, "was a real miracle. I wonder how much it would have cost."
The little girl smiled. She knew exactly how much the miracle cost ... Fifteen Rand and eleven cents ... plus the faith of a little child.
Perseverance can make miracles happen! Miracle can come in various forms - as a doctor, as a lawyer, as a teacher, as a police and many others..
A river cuts the rock not because of its power, but because of its consistency.
Never lose your hope; keep walking towards your vision."

DAD

age 8, your dad bought you an ice cream. You thanked him by dripping it all over his lap.
When you were 9 years old, he paid for piano lessons. You thanked him by never even bothering to practice.
When you were 10 years old he drove you all day, from soccer to ballet to one birthday party after another. You thanked him by jumping out of the car and never looking back.
When you were 11 years old, he took you and your friends to the movies. You thanked him by asking to sit in a different row.
When you were 12 years old, he warned you not to watch certain TV shows. You thanked him by waiting until he left the house.
When you were 13, he suggested a haircut that was in fashion. You thanked him by telling him he had no taste.
When you were 14, he paid for a month away at summer camp. You thanked him by forgetting to write a single letter.
When you were 15, he came home from work, looking for a hug. You thanked him by having your bedroom door locked.
When you were 16, he taught you how to drive his car. You thanked him by taking it every chance you could.
When you were 17, he was expecting an important call. You thanked him by being on the phone all night.
When you were 18, he cried at your high school graduation. You thanked him by staying out partying until dawn.
When you were 19, he paid for your college tuition, drove you to campus carried your bags. You thanked him by saying good-bye outside the dorm so you wouldn't be embarrassed in front of your friends.
When you were 25, he helped to pay for your wedding, and he told you how deep he loved you. You thanked him by moving halfway across the country.
When you were 50, he fell ill and needed you to take care of him . You thanked him by reading about the burden parents become to their children. And then, one day, he quietly died. And everything you never did came crashing down like thunder on YOUR HEART.
