Was Lord Hanuman married and did he have a family? If so, who was his spouse? Lord Hanuman is married. He studied under Surya Devata as his Guru. At the conclusion of his studies, Hanuman asked Surya to request any Gurudakshina and Hanuman would grant it. Surya requested that Hanuman marry his daughter Suvarchala (not to be confused with Surya’s wife Saranyu, who also has Suvarchala as one of her names, shared with her daughter). Hanuman said that he had already sworn a vow of celibacy. Suvarchala said she accepted this and would also keep celibacy while being his wife, for the remainder of the Kalpa, and in the next Kalpa to come Hanuman and Suvarchala will be in the roles of Brahma and Brahmapatni. As such, they do not have any children together.
